We buy our own gear
No loaner units, no press samples. Everything reviewed was paid for at retail and carried on the road for at least a month.
Nomad Stack is run by three full-time nomads who test the gear, software and paperwork of working from anywhere — so your next decision takes minutes, not weeks.
Most nomad advice is written from a desk, recycled from other posts, and quietly steered by whoever pays the highest commission. We started Nomad Stack because we kept making expensive mistakes anyway — wrong insurance, dead eSIMs on arrival, bank accounts frozen mid-invoice.
So we do it the slow way: live in the cities we cover, carry the gear we review, and file our own taxes through the services we recommend. When the math changes, we update the article and say what changed. That's the whole model.
No loaner units, no press samples. Everything reviewed was paid for at retail and carried on the road for at least a month.
Every review ends in a number you can compare. If we can't measure it — speed tests, weight, claim turnaround — we don't score it.
Some links earn us a commission. Scores are locked before links are added, and we publish negative reviews of products we'd profit from.
Nomad Stack is run by its two founders, with Peter writing the reviews. We buy the gear, open the accounts and file the paperwork ourselves — nothing gets a score we haven’t used.
City costs, gear that earned its weight, and visa changes worth knowing — for 84,000 people who work from anywhere. No fluff, unsubscribe anytime.
